The crack of dawn tends to be the only time of day when many of us are able to get in a good run. Whether it’s family, work, or social obligations, finding time to fit your workout into your schedule can feel like a never ending challenge. We get it!

1. Plan ahead
Waking up and trying to make a plan and gather your gear while you’re still half asleep can be a nightmare. Avoid scavenging for your favorite pair of pants by laying out what you need the night before. You’ll thank yourself in the morning, trust us. 2. Eat right
Before you hit the ground running, make sure you fuel your body with some nutrients. Go for a lighter snack that’s a mix of protein and easily digestible carbs to give yourself an early morning pick-me-up (and avoid cramps during your run). Start with half a banana, a piece of toast with peanut butter, or a light shake. Over time you’ll find what works best for your body! 3. Dress accordingly
Running in the early morning is great, but until the clocks change, incorporating reflective gear and lights into your attire is a must.
